AKAS Tex has been supplying Sorbent Mats for different end uses and is deeply engaged in addressing the issue of floor safety at workplaces, grocery stores and industrial applications.
We set out to develop a mat that was slip resistant i.e. had high traction and would not curl, buckle or have ripples along the edges. That led to the development of the StickyBack Mats and we designed a product that exceeded the OSHA requirements for the Transitional Coefficient of Friction (TCOF) for carpets at a value of 0.80. The OSHA requirement is 0.60.
The StickyBack Mats product was tested per the NFSI 101-C Test Method for Measuring Dry Transitional Coefficient of Friction (TCOF) of Floor Mat Backing Materials on August 9, 2022, and passed the standards “High-Traction” requirement.
The StickyBack has now been on the market and extensive market trials taken by us and our customers prove that this product works.
